What is e-commerce store well referenced?
Following a discussion with a few e-shopping and reading forums on e-commerce, I realized that SEO is misunderstood in this medium. This is not so much the tools and resources used that are ineffective, but the criteria for success that does not match the reality of the web and the possibilities offered by a website. Many parameters for an expert SEO quick check are not taken into account.
What is e-commerce store "well-referenced" ? Or is it just because it feels it is? Because it allows to sell products? Or because a target figure, taking into account site size and sector of activity has been achieved? The answer is obvious. That is why I decided to list the ten criteria, which in my view, to measure the success (or not) referencing an e-commerce store.
The 10 criteria of a successful e-commerce store
1. The number of pages indexed in Google
2. The number of traffic sources equal the number of content pages
3. A high conversion rate
4. Stable positions in the search results of Google
5. The home page of the site in the top 3 of Google for its main requests
6. Product pages in the top 10 Google search results for their main request (product name)
7. Product images indexed on Google Images
8. The number of backlinks and relevance
9. A High PageRank
10. A url, a page, a unique content: not to duplicate content!
